2016 Commitments

Jeff George: Dodge City, Kan. (Dodge City C.C.)

As a 6’6″ four-star junior college receiver on Rivals, Jeff George will be another perfect target for Butch Jones’s system. The Kansas prospect brings a very unique size to the program and will be a perfect safety target if he can develop.

Obviously, you don’t bank on junior college prospects unless you expect them to contribute immediately, so even Jones is preparing to lose a few receivers next year with this pickup.

While he has not been rated too highly yet and has not demonstrated any speed, he has shown good hands and awareness to the coaches. Those two things with his size should make him a very welcome addition.

Corey Henderson: Shreveport, La. (Evangel Christian H.S.)

Listed as a three-star athlete on Rivals, Corey Henderson is likely to become a wide receiver when he sets foot on campus at Tennessee. At 6’1″ and with a 4.41-40 time, Henderson will be a perfect speed player added to the roster.

He could stand to put on some weight and become more of a physical slot receiver, but overall he is another welcome addition to the unit.

These two receivers who are already committed certainly add some depth to the roster for the future. But Jones cannot settle. Here is a look at potential prospects the Vols could still go after.
