Vols Basketball: Tennessee On The List For Braxton Blackwell
By Seth Norris
The Tennessee basketball team picked up some good news on Tuesday in the recruiting trail with prospect Braxton Blackwell.
The four-star recruit cut his list down to six schools putting the Vols among elite company.
Blackwell is a 6’8″ small forward out of Nashville. He previously attended Christ Presbyterian Academy, but has since announced he intends to transfer to Oak Hill Academy in Virginia.
Blackwell is one of the top targets for the 2016 class, and potentially the type of talent to help transform the program.
The recruit has been high on the board since last season under the Donnie Tyndall era (one season). Tyndall and staff brought on Braxton Bonds last season in a believed attempt to attract Blackwell to Tennessee to play with a former high school teammate.
Bonds and Tyndall are gone, but Rick Barnes and staff are still making the small forward a top priority.
