1. Having a 10-Win Season
Once again, if the Vols are back, then this should not be a problem, right? Getting to 10 wins should be the sure thing to do in normal years for the Tennessee Vols, and in a year in which they are expected to return to prominence, the first 10-win season since 2007 has to be the expectation.

Let’s think of the other things we want them to do on this list. They need to have that winning record against rivals, including beating Florida, which provides for three wins. They also have three other sure-wins in the three non-conference games that are not the Oklahoma Sooners.
Conceding losses to Alabama and Georgia, they have toss-up games against Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Arkansas. Plus they have a toss-up bowl game.
Three of those are home games, though, so they should at least be good enough to get to 3-1 in those four games, and Georgia should not be pushed to the side as a sure loss either, so 10-2 is a strong possibility.
Winning the bowl game is plausible as well.
Putting all of this together, 10 wins is not an expectation that should be easy, but for the expectations that have been placed on the Vols to return to prominence this year, it is something that should be mandatory.
Remember, this is Tennessee. We want to see the Vols back in the major spotlight. Only a 10-win season can do that.
If they reach 10 wins, this is surely a successful season. if they do not, it likely is not. They need a 10-win season.
