10. North Texas Mean Green

Following the Western Carolina Catamounts, the North Texas Mean Green are in just about the same boat at the opposite period of the season. This is another easy team that the Vols will play in the heart of November. So essentially, it is the heart of an irrelevant game that nobody in Knoxville should even have to think about.

And as a result, this is another game at the bottom of the importance totem pole for the Vols. It should be a surefire win for the Vols, and a loss would be devastating. But because of how easy this game should be, North Texas, like Western Carolina, is a game that will be of minimal importance throughout the season.

We should add, by the way, that the Mean Green could potentially even be easier than Western Carolina. They had a losing record in such a bad conference last year that it is something worthy of discussion.

We should also note that such an easy non-conference game is never going to generate any kind of importance. As another trap game sandwiched between the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Missouri Tigers, there could be a little bit of concern about this game as well.

But the season will already have been determined at this point, with only three games left going into this game. As such, there is not much to worry about with this one.

The North Texas Mean Green are a team nobody in Knoxville is thinking about at this point.
