For the season, he already has 41 tackles, seven of which have gone for a loss, three sacks, a forced fumble, a pass broken up, and a quarterback hurry.

Now comes this game, and once again Reeves-Maybin is going to play a crucial role for the Vols. The Arkansas Razorbacks have a very good rushing attack, as we have already documented, despite their 1-3 record. Behind that massive offensive line, Alex Collins is going to get into the second unit of the defense a few times.

And Reeves-Maybin will need to be there to make a play. This linebacker has to do everything he can to stop Collins when he gets by the defensive line, and if Bielema tries to run him east and west instead of north and south, he needs to get to Collins every time. Reeves-Maybin is the clear-cut superstar on this defense.

Once again, he will need to prove that on Saturday.

Great linebacker play is a huge key to stopping this Arkansas rushing attack, as is forcing turnovers, and Reeves-Maybin is capable of providing both. Right now he could be the best outside linebacker in the SEC. That has to show again Saturday.

He pretty much belongs on every list when we point out important Tennessee Vols football players. Jalen Reeves-Maybin continues to be all over the field as an outside linebacker, and he was again last week with eight tackles, two of which went for a loss, and one of which was a sack.

This all came with Florida doing everything in its power to get away from him as well.
