Tennessee Vols tight end Ethan Wolf was named on the Mackey Award watch list on Friday, according to a release from Tennessee.
From UTSports
"Tennessee sophomore tight end Ethan Wolf has been named to the John Mackey Award Midseason Watch List. The John Mackey Award is presented to the nation’s most outstanding collegiate tight end. Wolf has 15 catches for a team-best 213 yards with two touchdowns in 2015."
Wolf has proved to be one of the more underrated (and underused) players on the Volunteers’ roster.
The Ohio native has 15 catches for 213 yards and two touchdowns so far this season.
Every time the Vols need a big play, it seems like Wolf has worked his way into a position where he can help his team.
Wolf, who had three catches for a season high 56 yards in Tennessee’s win against Georgia last week, is only a sophomore.
That’s great news for the Vols, because he looks like a potential superstar in the making.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Wolf eventually playing on Sundays.
