That is exactly what happened last year when the Vols lost 29-21 to Missouri. Going into this game, the line would have to step up. They paved the way for more than 250 rushing yards on the ground and did not give up one sack.
That is exactly what was needed to win the game, so the overall game ball lies with the line, and a huge portion of that credit goes to the freshman offensive tackle. Hall looks like a superstar veteran now, and he clearly has an incredibly bright future ahead of him if he can manage to stay healthy.

Chance Hall
Offensive Tackle, Freshman
The same way we were calling for Cameron Sutton to come away with an interception last weekend and then he delivered, it was also clear that Chance Hall would have to play like a superstar tackle, and he came through as well. As a freshman, Hall rose up to his calling in this game very well.
The Vols were going up against an elite Missouri Tigers pass rush, and Butch Jones and Mike DeBord knew that they would have their hands full with it in the cold. Knowing that Kyler Kerbyson as a veteran would do his job, it was up to Hall on the other side to make sure that the line did not get beat up.
