You’re probably already aware that Tennessee gave the nation free bloomin onions on January 2, via their win in the Outback Bowl against Northwestern.

But that wasn’t the only thing the Vols won. They also brought home some hardware for winning their New Year’s Day bowl game.

This fancy little trophy, complete with a stand made of the turf from Raymond James Stadium, is now on display at Tennessee’s training facility.

Thanks to the Volunteers’ second straight convincing bowl win (against a B1G team, nonetheless), the hype train is now completely out of control for 2016.

Of course, there’s good reason for that. Tennessee is returning nearly everyone from a nine win team (hopefully — a few players have yet to decide whether or not they’ll enter the NFL Draft).

The Vols should start the 2016 season as a top 15 team — a ranking that I believe will be completely justified.
