You can never have enough depth on your offensive line.

Whether or not Ryan Johnson sees the field depends entirely on his ability to pick up the system in enough time. The talent is not a problem for the 6’6″ 275 pound offensive tackle from Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tenne.

As another in-state prospect, the four-star on Rivals has the talent, size, and clearly the love for Tennessee football to the point that he will give his all.

But plenty of players on the line last year, including elite five-star Drew Richmond, needed some time to pick up the system and were not able to play right away.

Richmond, however, has picked it up now. Still, injuries on the line are inevitable, and Johnson could work his way into the rotation sooner rather than later if he figures things out early enough.

And that possibility is why he is on this list. You never know what can happen in the trenches.

Ryan Johnson

Offensive Tackle, Brentwood, Tenn.

From a technical standpoint, there is not much of a need for a new offensive lineman on this roster for this particular hear. But in a reality sense, the truest cliche in all of football is why Ryan Johnson is on this list.
