Coming off an embarrassing loss to the LSU Tigers, the Tennessee Lady Vols are looking at a No. 7 seed in the 2016 NCAA Tournament according to ESPN.

The new ESPN Bracketology is out, and the Tennessee Lady Vols have fallen to the middle of the pack.

The same week they broke a 31-year streak and fell out of the Top 25, the Lady Vols have dropped to a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Currently, the Bracketology with Charlie Creme has Holly Warlick’s 16-11 team playing the No. 10 seed USC Trojans, whose stock is also dropping.

At 18-10, USC is reeling even worse than Tennessee is right now, having lost four of their last five and stumbling into the NCAA Tournament. They have fallen down to the bubble, a place the Lady Vols are not at yet but could get to if they continue down this destructive path.

Tennessee and USC are almost identical teams, relying on tough defense but suffering from too many abysmal shooting nights on the year.

This would honestly be a very boring, ugly game between two teams who have no idea of how to run an offense.

But if the shots randomly fall for one of the teams, that team could run away with this game in a blowout. If not, this would be a hideous, low-scoring game that is stolen in the end.

Currently, the Lady Vols would share a bracket with the South Carolina Gamecocks and Ohio State Buckeyes in ESPN’s bracket.

But the scary thought is that with two games left and the chance of losing one of them, this team could fall into the bubble if they don’t take care of business.

As crazy as it is to say, the Lady Vols are actually not a lock to make the NCAA Tournament.
