The Tennessee football Orange and White game will be televised on the SEC Network. The Volunteers’ spring game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16.

SEC fans across the country will now be able to view the results of spring practice thanks to the SEC Network. The conference announced in a report that every spring game is scheduled to be televised, beginning with the Vanderbilt Commodores on March 25 and ending with the Arkansas Razorbacks on April 23.

And yes, the Vols are included in this.

Tennessee’s spring game will be televised on Saturday, April 16 at 2 p.m. The announcers have not yet been determined.

Of course, this comes at a time when Tennessee is looking like it will barely have a team to field for spring practice. The injury bug has bitten, most notably with Jalen Reeves-Maybin, so many key players will be out.

Interest in spring practice for the Vols has been very high over the past few years, ever since Butch Jones took over as head coach. In 2014, there were more than 68,000 spectators to witness the Orange and White game.

Tennessee’s spring game will be on the same day as Alabama’s. The Tide will have their spring game at 3 p.m. televised on ESPN, the only one on not on ESPNU or the SEC Network. But that’s okay. Many Alabama fans probably have no idea how to use the Internet yet, so their spring game will need the largest viewing audience.

Georgia and LSU both have their spring games scheduled for 4 p.m. that same day.

Florida’s is scheduled for Friday evening on April 8.

Tennessee has a lot to address before its spring game, and with so many players out Jones has a chance to build lots of depth during spring ball this year.

Fans will now have the chance to see all the improvements that were made.
