Tennessee baseball moved to 16-9 after an 11-0 victory against the UNC Asheville Bulldogs. Senior Vincent Jackson led the Volunteers with two home runs.

In a midweek back to back against two different teams, Dave Serrano witnessed two different players have two-home run nights.

Following two home runs by Nick Senzel Tuesday in a 9-2 victory against the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders, Vincent Jackson knocked one pitch out of the park Wednesday and had another inside-the-park home run. He drove in four runs, leading the Vols to an 11-0 victory over UNC Asheville.

With the win, Tennessee moved to 16-9 on the season and 7-4 at home.

The Vols took a 1-0 lead in the first inning off of a double by senior Chris Hall. Then they scored four runs in the third inning to take a 5-0 lead, and then Jackson blasted a solo shot in the fifth.

Jackson then had his inside-the-park home run in the sixth inning to put his team ahead 10-0.

Serrano was able to get a bunch of pitchers some playing time, going through five pitchers on the nigh, including getting four innings from starter Alex Harper-Cook. Freshman Will Nealy added two innings before Serrano went to a different pitcher for each of the final three innings.

All of them held the Bulldogs without a run.

Two midweek blowout wins was the perfect breather for this team as it gets set for a hopeful run in the heart of the SEC regular season. UNC Asheville was a terrible team, so the Vols should have won a blowout, but MTSU was no pushover.

Still, blowing out both teams on back to back nights was not the easiest thing to do, and Serrano might finally be turning the corner he desperately needs to turn.
