It took until the end of the season, but Holly Warlick and the Tennessee Lady Vols finally picked up their first commitment of the 2016 recruiting class.

This is still far from the standards of what the Tennessee Lady Vols program should expect, but at least Holly Warlick did not let this class go to waste.

The Lady Vols picked up three-star post-player Kamera Harris Wednesday, according to a report on GoVols.

Harris is 6’3″ and comes from Dutchtown High School in Hampton, Ga.

Despite being a three-star, she set a national record for most blocks in a single game with 28 in 2014, according to sources.

Given her player profile, Harris is the perfect player to fill the defensive void left by the departure of Bashaara Graves and could come right in to fill that role, but according to reports, she is still significantly lacking on offense and needs lots of developing, which makes her very different from Graves.

Still, she should be able to combine with Mercedes Russell and other post players to help Tennessee once again dominate the boards in the future, depending on how much she plays.

However, even with Harris, Warlick needs more to add to this recruiting class. She either needs to pick up a transfer, which she is looking into doing, or score a late-term commitment. Otherwise, the Lady Vols will not be able to fully replace Graves despite all of the other elite weapons coming back.

The three leading scorers from this past year’s UConn Huskies graduating, the field could reopen again for teams like the Lady Vols and other programs with elite recruits. Geno Auriemma’s team will still be in contention, but the prospects for Warlick’s team look great next year.

She has just got to find a way to get a little more presence inside so her team can exert its dominance.

But Harris is a great pickup to fill a need at this point.
