The Tennessee Vols on Rocky Top have a busy weekend with the Spring Game, a baseball series continuing, and the aftermath of the WNBA Draft. Here is Friday’s news.

Good morning and Happy Friday! With the spring game coming Saturday, the heart of baseball and softball season here, three former Vols in the NBA Playoffs, and the WNBA draft happening, there is a lot going on in Tennessee Vols athletics right now for it being in the middle of April.

Tennessee took the first of a three-game series against the Auburn Tigers in baseball Thursday, and softball begins a series at the Georgia Bulldogs tomorrow. But we will start this morning’s update with news about the upcoming spring game.

Here is what you need to know today about the Tennessee Vols on Rocky Top.

Vols DB Rashaan Gaulden playing with tons of intensity – Dustin Dopirak of GoVols

"Gaulden admits though, that some of the activity this spring is antsiness. He was starved of football in the 2015 season thanks to a broken foot suffered in August, and he is in the middle of a transition from nickel back to safety, the position he has wanted to play since idolizing Ed Reed and Sean Taylor as a young Miami fan."

Elite Tennessee recruiting prospect to visit Vols for Spring Game – Ryan Callahan of 247 Sports

"Five-star junior athlete Jacoby Stevens of Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., told GoVols247 on Thursday night that he’s planning to visit Tennessee on Saturday for its spring-ending Orange and White Game. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Stevens will be visiting the Vols for the second time in less than two months after attending one of their junior days in February."

Former Lady Vol Bashaara Graves selected in the WNBA Draft – UTSports

"Tennessee’s Bashaara Graves became the sixth Lady Vol of the Holly Warlick era to hear her name called during the WNBA Draft, going with the tenth pick of the second round to the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday night at Mohegan Sun Arena. Graves will join the WNBA defending champion Lynx who have also won three of the last five WNBA Championships, but are looking for their first repeat."
