And in an ironic twist, that could be something that keeps Kerbyson from being the first or second round draft choice that he should be.

Sure, Kerbyson is a bit undersized, but he was the one consistent on the offensive line for the Vols for two years, and he developed significantly. In his senior year, Joshua Dobbs was always protected on his blindside with Kerbyson on the line, and considering the fact that Kerbyson is truly a guard and was having to block elite SEC defensive linemen, that is really impressive.

So in the NFL, you are going with the sure thing if you take Kerbyson. Even if the ceiling is not that high for Kerbyson, the floor is extremely high. There is really no weakness in his game, which makes him a perfect candidate to be drafted by somebody.

Any team that drafts Kerbyson will not regret it. He also has the intangibles, demonstrating his undying love for Tennessee football all five years in Knoxville.

Kerbyson also managed to develop in three different systems as well, from Jim Chaney under Derek Dooley to Mike Bajakian and Mike DeBord under Butch Jones. That diversity and experience will serve him extremely well in the NFL.

If you want consistency, reliability, diversity, and knowing exactly what you are going to get with no real weaknesses in a player, Kyler Kerbyson is a safe, can’t-miss prospect. Again, the most overlooked part of NFL Draft prospects is what they actually did on the football field in college.
