Football and basketball recruiting updates along with academic success from athletes headlines the Tennessee Vols news on Rocky Top for Tuesday, May 31.

Welcome to the last day of May. Hopefully you all had a great Memorial Day weekend and perhaps enjoyed some success in Tennessee athletics. Sure the baseball and softball seasons are over, but track and field, tennis, and golf all had some updates.

With June about to hit, though, the offseason is about to be in full swing, and end of the academic and athletic year is inching closer to an end. Recruiting is still going on, and newcomers are getting acclimated to their schools.

The same holds true for Tennessee in football and basketball. Lots of coverage has been done in both sports, and football recruiting is still in full swing.

But there’s also some academic success to tout, so let’s start with that.
