Butch Jones continues to shore up his defensive line for the future, and he picked up his sixth and seventh commitments at the position on Wednesday for the 2017 Tennessee football recruiting class.
Brandon and Breyon Gaddy, who play as twins on the defensive line at Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School in Virginia Beach, Va., announced their commitment to the Vols on Tuesday, according to 247Sports.
Breyon Gaddy is a four-star defensive tackle on Rivals who has a uniquely massive size at 6’5″ 335 pounds. But he’s also an athletic freak of nature who has been reported to run as fast as a 4.6-40 despite his massive size. He could be a future superstar for the Vols.
Brandon Gaddy is technically an athlete, but standing at 6’4″, he is pushing beyond 280 pounds and getting stronger. Unless the coaches trim him down and move him over to tight end, he is likely to be a defensive tackle as well, making these two commitments the third and fourth defensive tackles to commit to the Vols for 2017.
The twins posted the same tweet at each other in announcing their commitments.
Brandon and Breyon Gaddy make up the 19th and 20th commitments for the 2017 Tennessee football recruiting class overall. And Jones is definitely far from over.
He is once again stocking up on talent for the future.
