Tennessee football is a hot ticket in the SEC this year. The Volunteers have five games that are among the 20 most expensive in the conference.
There may be 150,00 seats to fill, but the Battle at Bristol between the Tennessee Vols and Virginia Tech Hokies is still one of the Top 10 hottest tickets in the SEC this year.
According to numbers from the secondary ticket marketplace website, Rukkus, the average price for the Tennessee-Virginia Tech game is $283, good for sixth most expensive among SEC tickets.
In fact, the Vols are a hot ticket this year in the SEC in general. The Battle at Bristol was one of five Tennessee games that are among the 20 most expensive to attend in the conference.
That’s the second-most games on the list in the conference, behind only the Alabama Crimson Tide, who have seven on the list. Of course, the Tennessee-Alabama game itself was on the list at $237 on average. Tennessee-Georgia comes in at $245, Tennessee-Florida comes in at $217, and Tennessee-Texas A&M comes in at $206.
The most expensive ticket in the SEC is LSU-Wisconsin, which is set to be played at Lambeau Field with tickets averaging out at $514 apiece.
Just behind that is the Iron Bowl, averaging out at $483. While LSU is No. 1 and Alabama is in the No. 2 most expensive game, LSU-Alabama comes in at No. 3 with tickets at $481 apiece. Arkansas-Texas A&M is No. 4 at $428 apiece, and then there’s a huge drop-off, with Florida-Georgia No. 5 at $294 apiece.
But the Vols have a consistent list of games on the list, and the four SEC games they have are all played on consecutive dates. So Tennessee is in for an exciting middle of the season stretch.
