Tennessee football coach Butch Jones isn’t stopping his focus on the defensive line for the 2017 class. The Volunteers are now in Matthew Butler’s Top four.

The Tennessee Vols continue to work on shoring up their defensive line, and Butch Jones is doing it with a look at the 2017 class.

There are already seven defensive linemen committed for the class, and now an eighth has put the Vols in his top four.

Three-star defensive end Matthew Butler put Tennessee football in his Top Four Saturday, according to a report on 247Sports.

Butler, who stands at 6’3″ 250 pounds, had this to say about the Vols:

"Power in the SEC. I have family in Tennessee. Comfortable with Coach Strip and Coach Jones. I really liked UT’s campus and environment."

A prospect out of Garner, N.C., Butler listed the Vols alongside the N.C. State Wolfpack, the Duke Blue Devils, and the South Carolina Gamecocks.

He could be another case of Jones finding a steal that nobody else wants, but if Will Muschamp the defensive genius is going after him, he must be noticeably good.
