Tennessee Golf: Men’s Vols Named All-Academic
The Tennessee Golf men’s program had a significant accomplishment this year. The Volunteers have been named an All-Academic Team.
Tennessee academics has seen a resurgence over the past few years in all sports, including football and basketball, and now the Vols have achieved another major accomplishment in that field.
The Tennessee Golf men’s team was named a 2016 All-Academic Team, according to UTSports online.
The announcement was made by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
According to the report, the Vols were one of 208 teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher to reach the accomplishment.
The program announced the recognition on Twitter as well.
