The Men’s Tennessee Track & Field indoor and outdoor Volunteers were the scholar team of the year in the sport, and the women also had an accomplishment.

While Tennessee Men’s Golf is part of the All-Academic Team, the Tennessee Vols in Track and Field are making huge headlines across all teams.

Both the indoor and outdoor Men’s Tennessee Track & Field teams were named the USTFCCCA DI Track and Field Scholar Team of the Year, according to a report on UTSports.

Meanwhile, the women reached All-Academic team honors.

There were 11 Vols in the program to reach individual academic recognition, including Cameron Brown, Malik Elion, Tyler Porter, Matthew Zajac, Chelsea Blaase, Erin Champion, Kristen Denk, Lenysse Dyer, Maia McCoy, Cassie Wertman, and Layla White.

The men had a 3.06 cumulative GPA, and the women had a 3.22 cumulative GPA.

This is continuing the tradition of improving academics that has gone across the athletics program in Knoxville, which is a huge tribute to Dave Hart in keeping up with the new academic standards for athletics.

So congratulations to the Tennessee Track & Field program for these accomplishments.
