The first football practice of Fall Camp, Todd Kelly Jr., and Lane Kiffin headline the Tennessee Vols news on Rocky Top for Tuesday, Aug. 2.

And the start of the 2016 preseason is underway. Tennessee football fans got their first reports from the Volunteers after they held their first Fall Camp practice Monday night.

The result?

Everybody is as excited as ever about football season finally being here.

Of course practice wasn’t the only news to come out of Monday. There was a bit of hilarious internet trolling going on by a former Vol coach, and a current Vol making an emotional decision is also in the news.

But let’s start with the practice opener.

Todd Kelly Jr. to wear No. 24 in honor of slain Knoxville teen – WBIR

"Knoxville native and University of Tennessee safety Todd Kelly Jr. will wear number 24 this season in honor of Zaevion Dobson, head coach Butch Jones confirmed Monday.Dobson was shot and killed while shielding his friends from gunfire last December. Lane Kiffin trolls Vols on Twitter, caught lying about age – Clay Travis of Outkick the Coverage

"I love Lane Kiffin because so many of the things he does are ridiculous.Such as today when he decided to Tweet an article saying that many of the top players in the state of Tennessee are leaving the state. The move, which was likely connected to Alabama and Tennessee’s recruiting war over top lineman Trey Smith, drove Vol fans insane."
