It’s almost as if there is a brewing rivalry between the Vols and Hokies with the two playing at a neutral site. Now, a trophy has been unveiled for the Battle at Bristol.

And it has only made things more interesting.

The Battle at Bristol Trophy was unveiled Wednesday with officials from both schools in attendance.

There is even a video up showing how the Trophy was made.

Imagine if the Vols and Hokies could play consistently at the Bristol Motor Speedway. With Justin Fuente as the new head coach there, the program should be back to elite status very soon, and Butch Jones appears to have the Tennessee Vols on the right track to remain elite for years.

This would be an exciting game to get ready for every year if that happened.

Jones and Dave Hart have really taken Tennessee football to another level with the promotion of this game the past few years. Now, they have to make sure they bring the trophy to Knoxville this year in spite of all the distractions.

After all, even in a new coaching era, the Hokies are still dangerous. And anything can happen.
