NFL Network’s “The Timeline” will document former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Peyton Manning’s historic 2013 football season with the Denver Broncos.

Fresh off of his retirement, the NFL knows that we can’t get enough of former Vols quarterback Peyton Manning. So an NFL Network series is about to dedicate an episode to the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos legend.

“The Timeline,” a new project with the network and NBC, is set to have an episode documenting Manning’s 2013 season called “Peyton Manning’s Summer School.” Obviously he shattered all offensive records by throwing for 55 touchdowns and over 5,000 yards that year.

Here is the trailer for the episode.

The show is set to air Sunday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m.

This trailer looks very exciting for many reason. One, it looks like it’ll show Manning’s progression after returning from injury in 2012.

Two, and more importantly, it gives more recognition to Duke Blue Devils Head Coach David Cutcliffe.

Cutcliffe is the guy who turned Manning into what he is, and he still does not get nearly the praise he deserves. The former Tennessee football offensive coordinator is one of the greatest offensive minds in football history.

More important than being an X’s and O’s guy, Cutcliffe’s has developed a lot of players to make them NFL ready. In addition to the quarterbacks, there are numerous wide receivers like Peerless Price and Robert Meachem, running backs like Jamal Lewis and Arian Foster, and offensive linemen like Trey Teague.

As a result, it’s about time he got his recognition. After all, Cutcliffe was the guy who revitalized Manning’s career after that neck surgery in 2011.

He may be the only offensive coach that Manning has ever felt the need to listen to.
