South Carolina has a bad offense, despite what you saw last week. Jake Bentley is not going to change that either.

Meanwhile, Tennessee has one of the top pass rushes in the country. However, only one superstar has been the face if this Vols’ pass rush. We’ll get to him in a little while.

Until that point, we have to bring up Corey Vereen. He is a veteran edge rusher who is now a senior. Coming off of a bye week, this is his chance to make a stretch run and leave a lasting impact on the Tennessee football program.

Tennessee vs South Carolina is the perfect game for him to leave his mark.

Vereen currently has two sacks on the year and is the perfect speedy guy for the Vols’ line. However, he’s always good for a couple of breakout games, and he hasn’t had that yet.

Butch Jones and Bob Shoop could really use him to wreak havoc on a bad South Carolina offense Saturday. Tennessee needs to force turnovers and stop drives. To do that, they have to shut down this newfound passing game.

And to do that, Vereen has to have one of his superstar-caliber games.
