Former Tennessee football players Cordarrelle Patterson and Eric Berry made the Pro Bowl. The Volunteers will represent the Vikings and Chiefs respectively.

The 2017 NFL Pro Bowl roster is set, and two former Vols made the list. Both of them are players who have been there before.

Cordarrelle Patterson of the Minnesota Vikings made his second Pro Bowl as a return specialist, and it was his first since his rookie year in 2013.

Meanwhile, Eric Berry of the Kansas City Chiefs made his fifth Pro Bowl as a safety. He has been a Pro Bowl player every year that he was able to finish.

Patterson took part in helping the Vikings get off to a fast start with no real offense to speak of and had them position to reach the Playoffs.

Although the team has fallen apart recently and clearly needs Teddy Bridgewater back, Patterson has still been a reliable playmaker for them.

Berry, on the other hand, has been THE playmaker for the Chiefs. He alone is the reason that this team is currently 10-4 and likely a wildcard lock at least as opposed to 8-6 and fighting to get in.

He single-handedly beat the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers.

In fact, this might have been the best season Berry ever had, and it is his first full season back after his lymphoma treatment. He was back in 2015, but he wasn’t 100 percent the whole year.

Even better news for these two former Vols, Berry and Patterson were both named starters.
