The Tennessee Lady Vols will face the Louisville Cardinals in the second round of the women’s basketball NCAA Tournament. Here is the preview for the game.

Coming off of a solid win Saturday over the Dayton Flyers, the No. 5 seed Tennessee Lady Vols will be looking to advance to the Sweet Sixteen on Monday in a game against the No. 4 seed Louisville Cardinals.

Tennessee, which improved to 20-11 on Saturday, defeated Dayton by 9 points despite the fact that they had no outside shooting and little help from Jaime Nared.

That was because they dominated on the inside and took care of the basketball. At the same time, they created havoc with their perimeter defense.

Things will obviously be much tougher against Louisville, who is going to have a home-court advantage in this game as well.

Here is all the information you need for the game.

Louisville is 28-7 on the year, but they have not beaten any Top 10 teams. They only beat three teams on the year that were ranked when they played them. They are the Syracuse Orange, South Florida Bulls, and N.C. State Wolfpack.

However, South Florida was no longer ranked entering the tournament. And only Syracuse is still playing.

Should they win, the Tennessee Lady Vols will face the winner between the No. 1 seed Baylor Bears and the No. 8 seed California Golden Bears in the Sweet Sixteen next week.

Baylor already beat Tennessee once this year and is heavily favored to win this game.

That makes Tennessee’s road to the Final Four much tougher. However, the Lady Vols have been wildly inconsistent this year. So it’s not hard to see them pulling off a major upset this time around either.
