Rick Barnes is already working on Tennessee basketball’s 2019 recruiting class. The Volunteers will host small forward Marcus Watson Tuesday.

Tennessee basketball is working to shore up its wing depth for the future. And despite four-star Yves Pons’s commitment for 2018, Rick Barnes is still working to build that position.

On Tuesday, the Vols will host Georgia wing Marcus Watson on an unofficial visit.

According to an article by Grant Ramey of GoVols247, Watson visits Tennessee six days after he took an unofficial visit to Georgia.

A four-star on 247Sports, Watson is said to be down to the Vols and the Georgia Bulldogs. At 6’5″ 188 pounds, he would be the perfect fit as a wing player for Tennessee basketball.

However, the Vols have yet to officially offer Watson, so that makes things a lot more tricky. Currently, he has offers from the LSU Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Watson visits Knoxville amidst the Pilot Rocky Top Basketball League happening and with the football program in the heart of its recruiting season.

Should he commit to Tennessee basketball, it would be huge for the Vols. Barnes has had some solid success recruiting over the past two years, and Watson would be a very good pickup for 2019.
