A year after her death, numerous major figures in the world of sports and beyond paid tribute in video messages to Tennessee Lady Vols legend Pat Summitt.

Even a year after Pat Summitt’s death, the world of sports and beyond still can’t resist paying tribute to the legend.

Sports figures from all over made tribute videos to the legendary Lady Vols coach on Wednesday to commemorate the anniversary of her tragic passing.

The Pat Summitt foundation posted all the videos on its website.

To see all of those videos, click here.

The videos included tributes from major Tennessee figures such as Peyton Manning, Phillip Fulmer, Tamika Catchings, Semeka Randall, and Holly Warlick.

But they also came from major women’s sports figures overall including Dawn Staley and Billie Jean King.

And they came from male sports figures not affiliated with the university like Shaquille O’Neal.

They even stretched beyond the world of sports with politicians and business people singing her praise.

It was obvious through the tribute videos that Summitt was a legendary figure in the world of sports, and the foundation’s decision to do this was a great one.

No matter where you look, you can see Summitt’s fingerprints on the sports world, especially the women’s sports world.

And you can see her fingerprints on the world in general when it comes to things like Alzheimer’s research.

So this was a well-earned gesture for the greatest coach in the history of college sports period.

With every passing day, her legendary statute only gets greater and greater. It’s now not even a shock when people pay tribute to her, including former foes like Diana Taurasi.

And although the Tennessee women’s basketball program has some issues to work out, as does the athletic department as a whole, no other school can take greater pride in a sports figure than Tennessee can in Pat Summitt.

That is how great she was.
