Former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback and NFL legend Peyton Manning is a sure bet to be a home run host of the 2017 ESPY Awards show.

Peyton Manning has built a reputation as one of the funniest athletes in history. And on Wednesday night, he’s going to be able to put all of that on display.

Manning will host the 25th annual ESPYs, and he gave a preview of how funny he could be by going on Jimmy Kimmel.

On the show, he talked about what it’ll be like.

Given his history in commercials and his reputation, it’s a sure bet Peyton Manning will be a success. He clearly noted that Tom Brady is fair game, so that will be very entertaining to watch.

On top of that, Manning noted that he will make fun of himself, which he has a unique skill at doing. Hosting the show after his first full year of retirement will probably make it even better.

Simply put, Manning will have no trouble drawing laughs from the audience. After all, he spent an entire career doing it in commercials.

He’s almost as good at comedy as he was at playing quarterback. Also, his preparation is second to none.

As a result, Manning will hit this one out of the park. So grab your popcorn because this will be hilarious.

Having to mention the New England Patriots as Super Bowl champs will be just one great twist of irony.

Meanwhile, he’ll have plenty of other material with the Cubs winning the World Series and the chance for fellow Vols legend Candace Parker to win Best Female and Best Comeback Athlete.

And if you doubt his chances, you can see other clips of him on Kimmel’s show by going to the Jimmy Kimmel Live YouTube channel. Clips include his reasoning for golfing with Donald Trump, Fantasy Football, and what retirement is like.

He’s hilarious on all of them.
