Tennessee football is still busy securing players for its 2018 class and even down the road for 2019, but it looks like 2020 may be too early for one recruit.
Leonard Manuel, a receiver out of Vanguard in Ocala, Fla. announced his decommitment from the Vols on Thursday.
Manuel made his announcement with a note on Twitter.
At 6’5″ 200 pounds, Manuel provides a unique size at receiver. He had been committed to the Vols since June 4, and his decommitment is the second 2020 decommitment from the Vols this week.
Georgia running back Miles Friday also backed off of his commitment. Initially committing June 8, the 6’0″ 172-pound prospect out of Peachtree Ridge in Suwanee also did it with a Twitter announcement.
With both decommitments, Tennessee football is back to no commitments right now for its 2020 class.
Of course, many analysts feel that Butch Jones needs to focus on trying to make it to 2020 at this point.
That means his biggest priorities right now are the 2017 season and the 2018 recruiting class. The 2019 class is off to a decent start with three commitments already, including one four-star pickup.

So the stress over who is committed for the 2020 class is just not worth it at this moment. Butch Jones has plenty of other things to worry about before he gets to that point.
