Tennessee football is still recruiting for 2018, and four-star Florida wide receiver Anthony Schwartz put the Volunteers in his top six.

With his new staff, Butch Jones clearly wants to build a Tennessee football pipeline into the state of Florida. And he got a boost in that regard from news of one player he is pursuing earlier this week.

Wide Anthony Schwartz out of Florida named the Vols in his top six on Monday. A four-star on Rivals, Schwartz comes from American Heritage in Plantation, Fla.

The Vols are in the top six with the Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Auburn Tigers, USC Trojans, and LSU Tigers.

Schwartz made his announcement on Twitter.

At 6’0″ 175 pounds, he is currently ranked the No. 15 player nationally at his position, the No. 87 player overall, and the No. 22 player in his state.

And since that state is Florida, that’s pretty impressive.

Here is a look at his highlight reel.

As you can see, he is a speedy guy who knows how to use his vision to cut to the outside for the big play. That’s the type of guy who would thrive in Jones’s system.

Unfortunately for the Vols, according to information GoVols247, Florida seems like the overwhelming favorite to land him.

But he is one of those recruits where Jones’s connections and pipeline to the Sunshine State.

If he doesn’t pick the Vols, though, which he seems like a long shot to do, there are other Florida prospects. Schwartz would just be a really nice steal.
