Tennessee football continues to look to Florida for skill players. The Volunteers are now in the top five for three-star 2018 athlete Shocky Jacques-Louis.

Butch Jones and Tennessee football have taken a heavy interest in Florida skill players with all of the program’s new staff members. And they are going for athletes.

The most recent guy they are targeting for 2018 to bring news on that front is athlete Shocky Jacques-Louis.

A three-star on Rivals, Louis comes out of Dunbar High School in Fort Myers, Fla.

He named the Vols in his top five earlier this week along with the Michigan Wolverines, the Pittsburgh Panthers, the Kentucky Wildcats and the Missouri Tigers.

Jacques-Louis made his announcement on Twitter.

At 6’0″ 170 pounds, Jacques-Louis is a speed guy who could step in immediately as a slot receiver and make plays.

Here’s a look at his highlight reel.

As you can see, Jacques-Louis can take a quick pass and turn it into a touchdown. However, it does require some blocking, and he needs to get a bit stronger and more shifty.

According to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, the Vols are the overwhelming favorite to land Jacques-Louis.

Incoming Tennessee football linebacker Shanon Reid was a teammate of his, and the two are friends according to GoVols247.

Jacques-Louis’s commitment would just continue a steady pipeline that the Vols have slowly begun to grow under Butch Jones with Larry Scott on the staff.

He would be a solid pickup in that regard.

And with Josh Smith leaving after this year, another slot receiver certainly can’t hurt.
