Tennessee football scored a commitment from Shocky Jacques-Louis. The three-star Florida athlete is the 22nd commitment for the Volunteers’ 2018 class.

We’ve been talking about the Tennessee football pipeline into the state of Florida for a while now. And on Monday night, the Vols continued that for their 2018 recruiting class.

Athlete Shocky Jacques-Louis committed to Butch Jones’s program Monday night. He became the 22nd commitment for the 2018 Tennessee football recruiting class.

Jacques-Louis, a three-star on Rivals, comes out of Dunbar High School in Fort Myers, Fla. He announced his commitment to the school on Twitter.

At 6’0″ 170 pounds, Jacques-Louis committed to Tennessee football over major schools like the Michigan Wolverines. He is also the Vols’ fourth commitment from Florida.

Outside of the state of Tennessee itself, Georgia is the only state with more commitments to the Vols for 2018 with five.

Jacques-Louis adds to the pipeline that Butch Jones has been trying to build into the Sunshine State with assistant coaches like Larry Scott.

And according to Austin Price of VolQuest, new wide receivers coach Kevin Beard had a role in getting the guy to commit.

Despite being an athlete, Jacques-Louis is likely to be used on offense. That’s obvious if you take a look at his skills.

Here are some of his highlights.

As you can see, this guy is a speedster who turns short passes into huge gains. That would make him a very valuable addition to the Tennessee football program.

And with his commitment, the Vols’ 2018 recruiting class continues its momentum. Currently, they have the No. 5 ranked class on Rivals.

There’s a significant chance it moves up now.
