Former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Peyton Manning is back at it. The retired NFL legend has come out with a few new commercials.

Now two seasons removed from the NFL, Peyton Manning still can’t stop making headlines. The guy really should try going into comedy acting for his next career.
The Vols legend now has three new commercials with OtterBox Ollie. Ollie is the mascot for OtterBox, a Fort Collins, Colo. based electronics accessory company. Manning first did an ad with them last year.
But this week, he and the company unveiled three new ads. And in typical Peyton Manning fashion, their cheesy, funny, goofy and perfect for commercial television.
Manning is out camping, and the commercials detail his excursions with Ollie, who represents an over-protector. The commercials note that the accessory company is ‘unapologetically overprotective.’
But it doesn’t always work out well for Manning or other people as a result. Here, we’ll take a look at each of commercial.
In this first one, Manning and Ollie have an encounter with hikers.
As you can see, this commercial plays off the quarterback needing protection. And Ollie was overprotective of Manning in this one. Meanwhile, Manning’s response was hilarious.
The next one stands out the most and is the funniest. Manning is making S’Mores, and Ollie decides to ruin it for him after a marshmallow catches on fire.
Of course, in this one, Ollie being overprotective worked against Manning.
But then there’s the final commercial. And it is honestly a bit cruel to Ollie.
As you can see, Manning is now being carried around, noting that Ollie has his back no matter what.
All three of these commercials are hilarious, and they show Peyton Manning’s dry humor once again. It’s why I’ve made the case in the past that he truly should star in a sitcom. He was already funny on ‘Modern Family’ last year. And he was hilarious hosting the ESPYS and ‘SNL.’ Why not just go into comedy?
