The Tennessee Vols face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta Monday as the second game of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic. It’s the final game of Week 1 of the college football season. Butch Jones held his weekly press conference previewing the game on Wednesday.

Tennessee football junior linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr. underwent surgery on Tuesday and will miss the game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The timetable for his return is still up in the air. Meanwhile, Josh Smith and Shy Tuttle are both banged up but practicing with the team. And Drew Richmond has been suspended for the opener.
