Tennessee football somehow held on to win its opener against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Here are highlights from the Volunteers’ overtime victory.

Despite giving up 655 yards, over 500 on the ground, and being out-gained by nearly 300 yards, Tennessee football was able to squeak out an overtime victory over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Don’t as anybody how.

But it took a combination of some questionable coaching decisions by Paul Johnson, a couple of lucky turnovers and a new quarterback who found his rhythm late for it to happen.

The Vols somehow got to 1-0 with a 42-41 double-overtime win. That win came despite them being down by two touchdowns in the fourth quarter and completely unable to stop Georgia Tech.

It was a win for the ages for Tennessee football fans, though. The luck created some exciting memories. And Vols fans have every right to celebrate. Let’s re-live some of those moments here.
