Condolences to every Tennessee Vols football fan who has to show up for work on this Monday after such a heartbreaking loss to the Florida Gators Saturday. Whether you show up angry because of the stupid coaching or just depressed over the loss, it’s got to be a rough first day of the work week.
As we get set to bring you the news on Rocky Top, the effects from Tennessee’s 26-20 loss in The Swamp lead our updates. In fact, they’re two-thirds of our updates today.
So yes, to make your Monday worse, we’re filling it with mostly bad news about the Vols. However, they scored one win on Sunday from a program with a competent leader.

Tennessee Vols fall out of Top 25 – Blake Toppmeyer, Knoxville News Sentinel
Tennessee football fell out of the Top 25 of both the AP and Coaches Polls on Saturday after losing to the Florida Gators in The Swamp. The Vols earned this drop, and after losing to a bad Florida team, they don’t even deserve consideration for a ranking.

Tennessee football linebacker Cortez McDowell suffered an injury against the Florida Gators on Saturday that could cause him to miss a large portion of this season.

Tennessee soccer defeats Kentucky – UTSports
The Tennessee Vols soccer team shut out the Kentucky Wildcats 3-0 in their SEC Opener to move to 9-0-0 on the season.
"The Tennessee Volunteers matched their program record ninth consecutive victory with a 3-0 win over Kentucky to open SEC play Sunday at Regal Soccer Stadium."
