By simply not playing, the Missouri Tigers had one of their best weeks in a long time. They didn’t lose! Seriously, this team is that bad, and despite all the other programs that had bad weekends, they all still have work to do to catch up to Mizzou.

So we’re going to keep them at the bottom of our SEC Power Rankings.

Barry Odom‘s team is in flat-out horrific shape, and it’s not even necessarily his fault despite the fact that he is in his second year as head coach of the program. There were structural issues before he got there. And they haven’t changed.

As a result, the defense remains horrendous, Drew Lock is massively overrated at quarterback, and he simply has no help anyway. So yes, this team is as bad as you could think it is for an SEC team.

Those two East titles look like flukes more than ever before, and the future of the program does not look great either. What looks worse, though, is the immediate future.

As the only SEC team coming off a bye week, Missouri faces a Kentucky Wildcats team on the road that is one busted coverage away from being 5-0 at this point. Then they follow that up with a road trip to the Georgia Bulldogs.

So in all likelihood, they’re en route to being 1-5. But they can at least stop themselves from finishing 1-11 with games the following two weeks against Idaho and UConn at home. Overall, though, there’s no hope for this football team.
