Tennessee football will need a hope and a prayer to beat the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday. They will also need these five Volunteers players.

Well, the dreaded moment is here. At 3-3 and looking worse than ever, Tennessee football has to travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide. To the entire world, this does not seem like a game that will go well at all.

But hey, crazy things have happened before. What if, after two games of scoring no touchdowns, the Vols pull out a miracle and reaffirm everybody’s belief in a higher power? Butch Jones would save his job for a week at least.

Still, the thought of Jones beating Nick Saban is hilarious.

To make this alternate reality possible, Tennessee football will need key players to step up over the weekend. But who are the guys that can neutralize the Tide?

With the exception of one bad quarter against the Texas A&M Aggies, nobody has threatened Saban’s team at all. So it’s hard to find players that can exploit their weaknesses.

This team appears to not have any.

As a result, we’re just going to have to look at the Tennessee players who could be potential weapons. These players are based on the guys with the chance to be special for the Vols and what has upset loaded Saban teams in the past.

Again, let’s not kid ourselves. The idea of a win here seems ridiculous. But some guys may give Tennessee football a shot if the miracle happens. These are those players, and make sure to keep an eye on them against Alabama.
