Right now, the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball program is in a funk. They’ve had two straight seasons with no titles, and last year they didn’t even make it to the Sweet Sixteen. The loss of key players, most notably Diamond DeShields, generates concern for Holly Warlick’s team this year.

In fact, it once again leaves the roster a bit more thin than she would like it. However, Warlick and the team have a lot to look forward to if they can pull things together.

This year’s Tennessee Lady Vols team still returns its two leading scorers, has a few other people who needed to develop back and more experienced to provide more depth, and also brings in the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.

As a result, Warlick has a great mix to work with. But how will she put it all together? In this post, we’re going to take a look at the way the depth chart will shake out.

You can bet Warlick will go with a mix of proven scorers and the talented freshmen. This is her splash recruiting class, and it should make a huge impact.

With the season coming soon, this is our analysis of how the roster will look overall. Last year, the Lady Vols went only seven-deep most of the time, and Warlick would undoubtedly like to increase the number of bodies she relies on.

Barring injury, she should have that this year. But the team will still be stretched a bit thin. Let’s see how they’ll come together. These are our depth chart projections for the 2017-2018 Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team.
