A recap of the Tennessee Vols basketball game against the North Carolina Tar Heels headlines our All for Tennessee video show for Monday, Dec. 18.

The Tennessee Vols had a big weekend of news, from football recruiting to huge games for both basketball programs. And they came out of it with mixed results.

So for our video show on Monday, we had a long discussion about it. All for Tennessee contributor Colby Howell joined me to talk about all the happenings on Rocky Top.

With the holidays taking full effect, who knew Tennessee could have so much news despite not making a bowl game? Well, it seems like everybody on Rocky Top.

1. North Carolina recap

Tennessee basketball lost a heartbreaker to the North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday. We discuss why the Vols lost, what it means going forward and the future of the program. We also dive into the mistakes Rick Barnes made that lost them the game.

2. Recruiting

Tennessee football had a huge recruiting weekend to coincide with the North Carolina game. With that we talked about where the recruiting rankings are now and how the Tennessee Vols can climb back up them. And that was a transition into our final conversation.

3. Jeremy Pruitt’s momentum

Jeremy Pruitt has been working non-stop since becoming the new Tennessee Vols football coach. There was an issue with a potential staff hire, which we discuss here, and then a ton of news on the recruiting trail. We talk about that and how Pruitt is already different from Butch Jones.
