Tennessee basketball preview at Wake Forest: Live stream, game time, TV info
Tennessee basketball faces the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on the road Saturday. Here is the streaming information and more for the No. 21 Volunteers.
In their final game before the start of SEC play, Tennessee basketball faces another test. Keeping with Rick Barnes’s insistence on a tough schedule, the Vols travel to North Carolina to face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on the road.
At 8-2, Tennessee is coming off of an ugly win against a very solid Furman Paladins team from this past Wednesday. That followed a heartbreaking loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels last Sunday.
With UNC losing to Wofford following that, the Vols have more to prove. Beating Wake Forest on the road would prove a lot.
The Demon Deacons are currently 7-4, but they are on a major roll after an 0-3 start. In fact, they’re on a six game winning streak.
However, their only Power Five win is against the Illinois Fighting Illini. So this is a major test for them as well.
Here is all the information you need for this game.

With wins already against the Purdue Boilermakers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the N.C. State Wolfpack and their only two losses coming to UNC and the No. 1 ranked Villanova Wildcats, Tennessee basketball already has a pretty solid resume. But beating Wake Forest on the road gives them a bit of house money heading into the start of SEC season.
Conference play is going to be brutal this year for the Vols. So they need to score any big wins they can. This Top 25 ranking doesn’t guarantee them an NCAA Tournament bid at the end of the year.
As a result, this Wake Forest game is huge for Tennessee basketball. This would be a second road win against a Power Five team in non-conference play. And it would be their fourth Power Five win before SEC play even began.
