Tennessee football has 10 players who could make an impact in this year’s NFL Playoffs. With the postseason set to begin, here are those Volunteers ranked.

There are 16 former Tennessee football players currently on the roster of a team in the 2017-2018 NFL Playoffs. On top of that, 14 are active. Seven of the 12 teams in the playoffs have at least former Vol on their roster who could be key in the postseason.

This comes despite Tennessee football coming off its worst season in school history and its worst 10-year stretch in school history. The Vols still manage to fill the professional ranks with a ton of talent.

As we get set to break down the most crucial former Vols in the NFL Playoffs, it’s important to note why we left seven key players off of our Top 10 list. Eric Berry is the most notable one. He’d have been the top Vol, but the Kansas City Chiefs safety is out with a season-ending injury.

Mychal Rivera of the Jacksonville Jaguars is also inactive. Then there are two backup quarterbacks unlikely to play. They are Tyler Bray of the Chiefs and Joshua Dobbs of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

And speaking of the Steelers, they have two other former Vols on their roster who just don’t contribute much if anything at this point: Daniel McCullers and Cameron Sutton. As a result, we left them both off the list.

However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t key guys still in these playoffs. Some of them are players from the Phillip Fulmer days. That’s how far back they go. Meanwhile, some of the top guys are rookies.

So here’s a look at who these players are. Here is our ranking of the Top 10 former Tennessee football players who could make a huge impact in this year’s NFL Playoffs.
