Tennessee basketball preview vs. No. 17 Kentucky: Live stream, game time, TV
Tennessee basketball will host Kentucky Saturday night. Here is the game preview for the No. 23 ranked UT Volunteers and the UK Wildcats.
Things don’t get any easier for Tennessee basketball. With a 9-4 record, a two-game losing streak and an 0-2 record in the SEC, the Vols have to host John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday.
Ranked No. 17 in the nation, Kentucky comes in with a 12-2 record and 2-0 record in the SEC. However, both wins are ugly wins against the Georgia Bulldogs and LSU Tigers. So they’ve shown that they’re beatable.
Tennessee’s two losses have come at the end of games, to the Arkansas Razorbacks and Auburn Tigers. Although they have closed out games against the Purdue Boilermakers and Wake Forest Demon Deacons, analysts are growing skeptical of their ability to consistently finish games.
Given the losses to the North Carolina Tar Heels along with Arkansas and Auburn, there could be some truth to it. The national media isn’t fully right, but Tennessee basketball controlled both games against the Hogs and Tigers. As a result, those questions are becoming valid.
The Vols will likely be tested again in this area when they host Kentucky. Here is all the information you need for the game.

With such a brutal SEC schedule, Tennessee basketball all of a sudden needs this win. They’re not playing with house money anymore.
After all, following this game is the only easy match-up for them in the month of January, the Vanderbilt Commodores. They play Vandy twice, but the first game is on the road. The conference is so loaded that they need to get all the wins they can. After all, following Vanderbilt the have to play the Texas A&M Aggies and then the Missouri Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks on the road.
All three games are brutal. And again, that’s just for January. So a win at home against Kentucky is more crucial Saturday night.
