The divisional round of the NFL Playoffs saw four former Tennessee Volunteers have an impact. Here are those four and the two who still remain.

A week and a half ago, we gave out our rankings of the 10 most crucial former Tennessee Vols in the NFL Playoffs. Now, heading into the conference championship games, only two remain.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs losing knocked off a significant number of former Vols on NFL Playoff rosters. To be fair, many of them still did their job. That’s especially true for punters Michael Palardy and Dustin Colquitt in the first round.

In this round, while only two advanced, there were four former Vols who had an impact. As a result, we’re going to break them down.

This post is a ranking of those four Vols based on their performance. We’re not going to take into account which teams won with these rankings. However, we will mention the two players who are advancing in the NFL Playoffs.

Most Tennessee football fans already know those two players. Since they’re in opposite divisions, it’s not a guarantee that Tennessee will have a representative in the Super Bowl.

That’s supposed to be a tradition of the school, but then again, so was not losing eight games in a year. Simply put, this clearly hasn’t been your average season for Tennessee football.

So before worrying about that, let’s reflect on the positives. Former Vols are still impacting the postseason despite several down years the past decade. And here is our ranking of the four former Vols who had a major impact in the divisional round games of the 2017-2018 NFL Playoffs.
