Last week: Defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores

Last rank: 4th

The Missouri Tigers had a light week, only facing the Vanderbilt Commodores. But they did their job and won that game on the road. As a result, this team didn’t do anything move up in our SEC Power Rankings. But they also didn’t do anything to fall, and with Texas A&M and South Carolina both losing at home Sunday, we still have this team at No. 4.

Mizzou should be undefeated right now. They suffered two fluke home losses to teams that are significantly inferior to them. But nonetheless, they’re in good shape at 15-2 and 3-1 in the conference.

With a No. 15 RPI rank, their No. 35 strength of schedule is the only thing keeping them from being in the Top 10. But that’s still a solid strength of schedule.

In her sixth season on the job, Robin Pingeton is still all but a lock to have her team make the NCAA Tournament for a third straight year. So there’s not much to worry about. Now, it’s just about seeding.

And the Tigers have some huge games coming up to determine that. This week, they have a chance just to add more wins with a road trip to the Ole Miss Rebels and a home game against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

But the next week, they begin a brutal stretch with the Georgia Bulldogs and South Carolina Gamecocks on the road and then the Mississippi State Bulldogs at home. So Mizzou could fall very quickly in our SEC Power Rankings.
