Tennessee Vols coaches visiting top recruits and previewing the Vanderbilt basketball game lead our Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018 Volunteers video periscope show.

The heat of Tennessee Vols football recruiting is now in full swing with National Signing Day just over two weeks away. And with the Super Bowl the final meaningful football game left, basketball season is clearly in full swing.

Those two things lead our video discussion for today. There is some major football recruiting news with the coaches visiting prospects. Meanwhile, tonight’s men’s basketball game against the Vanderbilt Commodores is another major story.

We also get to something from our morning report about Phillip Fulmer and Jauan Jennings. I’ll talk some about that as well.

As always, our summary is below. Here is our official video Periscope show for Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018.

1. Tennessee Vols football recruiting continues.

The Tennessee Vols coaches visited the homes of three elite recruits recently. Jeremy Pruitt joined Terry Fair in visiting four-star cornerback Olaijah Griffin. Tyson Helton and David Johnson visited four-star wide receiver Jacob Copeland. And Robert Gillespie visited four-star running back Jashaun Corbin. Meanwhile, the Vols are looking at another graduate transfer option at quarterback in Keller Chryst.

2. There’s another update on Jauan Jennings.

Tennessee Vols athletic director Phillip Fulmer made another statement on Jauan Jennings Monday. His quotes clarified that Jennings currently isn’t on the team and has to work his way back onto it. So keep an eye on if he’s used in spring practice.

3. Tennessee Vols basketball hosts Vanderbilt Commodores.

The Tennessee Vols and Rick Barnes host Vanderbilt Tuesday night, coming off their huge road win over the South Carolina Gamecocks. This should be an easy victory, but they can’t take it lightly.
