Last week: Lost Auburn Tigers and Mississippi State Bulldogs
Last rank: 7th
Cuonzo Martin is getting hit with a dose of reality. And in this brutal league, the Missouri Tigers are taking a dive. We had to drop them three spots in our SEC Power Rankings this past week after they lost both games.

Now, following a home win over the Tennessee Vols, they have lost three straight games. The first two didn’t seem bad at the time. They fell on the road to the Texas A&M Aggies, who were back at full strength, and then lost to the Auburn Tigers.
But losing at home to Auburn by nearly 20 was a bad look. And on top of that, Texas A&M then lost to LSU to start another losing streak. To cap it all off, Mizzou lost to the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday by 12. As a result, this team is now in trouble.
Right now, they are ranked No. 46 in the RPI with their 13-8 record due to their No. 16 ranked strength of schedule. So they are on the bubble right now after originally firmly being in the NCAA Tournament.
But it could be difficult to maintain that going forward. Their next two games are against the Alabama Crimson Tide on the road and the Kentucky Wildcats at home. This team could fall apart quickly if they don’t fix things. And after such a solid start, that would be highly disappointing for Cuonzo Martin in his first year as coach.
