Recapping the Tennessee Vols football recruiting weekend along with basketball games lead our Volunteers periscope show for Monday, Jan. 29, 2018.

The men’s and women’s Tennessee Vols basketball teams drew mixed reactions from fans on Rocky Top over the weekend. Meanwhile, football recruiting is doing the same thing. For every bit of good news, there’s bad news.

As a result, our Monday periscope video show covers those topics. On this final Monday in January of 2018, there wasn’t a ton to get to. But there was enough in the three major sports to put together a pretty important show.

Catch up on news surrounding all the recruits Jeremy Pruitt is still targeting with National Signing Day a week and a half away. And find out my take on the men’s and women’s basketball teams after the weekend.

So knowing all of that, here is our Tennessee Vols video periscope show. And as always, we have the summary of what we talked about listed below it.

1. Tennessee football recruiting weekend brings mixed results.

The Tennessee Vols lost out on a key target they thought they could flip. But they also got some good news regarding other recruits after a huge weekend of visits. We break it all down in this video show. And we also preview other targets who are still in play.

2. Tennessee basketball’s huge win at Iowa State.

The Tennessee Vols scored a huge win over the Iowa State Cyclones this past weekend on the road. I break down what that means for Rick Barnes’s team going forward. At the same time, it brings up a discussion of men’s SEC basketball this year. Just how good is the conference at this point after the weekend’s SEC/Big 12 challenge.

3. Tennessee Lady Vols lost at LSU.

The Tennessee Lady Vols lost to the LSU Tigers, further continuing their skid. The show delves into why they lost and what is wrong with Holly Warlick’s team.
